Professional Interventionist in Houston, Texas
Steady Intervention Help Across Greater Houston
When addiction or a mental health crisis has taken over a Houston home, a calm, prepared family conversation can change the direction of everything. We help you build it.
Houston is big enough to hide in. A family can spend months circling the same crisis while the person drifts between apartments, jobs, and hospitals across four counties. What changes things is one prepared conversation, planned in advance, with everyone saying the same thing.
We fly in, coach your group, lead the meeting, and if there is a yes, we get your loved one to vetted care that day.
Where we work in Houston, Texas
We also work with families in Conroe, Galveston, Baytown and Beaumont, and out across Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery and Brazoria counties. We fly in for the intervention itself and can start planning with you virtually tonight.
What happens when you call
From your first call to the first day of treatment.
One confidential call
You tell us what is happening. No script and no pressure. We listen for the details that change the plan: the substances, the history, the risk, and who is actually in the family.
We build the plan around you
We choose the model that fits, decide who should be in the room, and confirm a treatment bed that matches the clinical need and the budget — in The Heights, elsewhere in Houston, Texas, or out of state if that is genuinely better.
We coach everyone first
Nobody walks in cold. Each person rehearses what they will say, and we plan for the pushback so a hard moment does not derail the room.
The day, and the road after
Matt leads the conversation and keeps the tone steady. When the answer is yes, travel is already arranged and our transport team goes with them.
How we help
Three ways we support Houston, Texas families.
Family Intervention
A planned, coached conversation that unites your family behind one message and one clear option to say yes to.
Explore →02Treatment Navigation
Independent placement with no referral fees, matched to the clinical need and your budget rather than a facility’s marketing deal.
Explore →03Sober Transport
When a yes means travelling to care, a trained escort stays with your loved one every mile of the way.
Explore →An intervention is not an ambush, and it is not a television spectacle. It is a planned meeting that a family walks into prepared, having practiced what each person will say and having agreed in advance on where their loved one goes if the answer is yes. We favor invitational and family-systems approaches over confrontation, because in a family under this much strain, connection holds where pressure tends to break.
A Houston case usually begins with a planning call the same day you reach us. From there we move through one or two family preparation sessions, then the meeting itself and a same-day plan for admission. We stay on the phone through the first days of care, not just the meeting, so the momentum a family works so hard to build does not stall the moment the room clears. Nothing about the process is left to improvisation, because the hours right after a yes are the ones that matter most.
How a G3 intervention works in Houston
Substance use and mental health, held in one plan
Many Houston families who call us are facing more than one thing at once: heavy drinking or drug use tangled with depression, untreated trauma, anxiety, or a diagnosis that was never handled properly. When both are present, treating only the addiction usually fails and everyone ends up back where they started. Clinicians call this dual diagnosis, and it changes what good care looks like. Our guide to dual diagnosis explains why the two conditions have to be treated together, not in sequence.
It also matters a great deal whether you are facing an intervention or an active mental health crisis, because they call for very different responses on very different timelines. If you are not sure which one you are in, our piece on a mental health crisis versus an intervention can help you tell them apart, and so can a single call to us. We would rather spend twenty minutes helping you name the situation correctly than watch a family plan the wrong response to the right problem.
From the Heights to Sugar Land: reaching a metro this big
Greater Houston sprawls across Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery counties, and the right program is often not the closest one. Whether your family is inside the Loop in Montrose or the Heights, out in Katy or Cypress, down in Pearland or the Clear Lake area, or up in The Woodlands, we work the same way: prepare thoroughly by phone, then either meet in person or run the conversation securely by video when traffic and distance would only add delay and risk.
Houston families are also spread out, with one adult child near the Galleria, parents in Sugar Land, and a sibling who moved to Austin or Dallas years ago. We are used to that. We prepare everyone who matters by phone, bring distant relatives into the meeting by video, and keep the message consistent no matter how far apart the family sits. The person your loved one most needs to hear from is included, wherever they happen to live.
Independent navigation in the Medical Center's backyard
We take no referral fees, so the bed we recommend in Houston is chosen for your loved one and nobody else.
Houston is home to the largest medical center in the world and no shortage of treatment options, which is its own kind of overwhelming. Detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and a hundred marketing websites that all sound the same. Because we take no referral fees, our only job is finding the program that actually fits your loved one and your budget. We help you read a facility honestly, ask the right questions about medical detox and licensing, and understand what your insurance will and will not cover.
Independence is not a slogan for us, it is the business model. Because a facility never pays us, we are free to tell you when a program is wrong, when a lower or higher level of care makes more sense, and when the closest option is simply not the best one. Many Houston families are surprised how much that one difference changes the advice they receive.
Family-led, nationwide
You will reach Matt or Hannah, not a call center.
Wherever you are in Houston, Texas, one confidential call starts it. We assess your situation and tell you honestly what the right next step is — even when that answer is not us.
Sober transport when the yes has to move fast
The gap between yes and admitted is where a lot of interventions quietly fall apart. A loved one agrees, then has hours, sometimes a full day, to reconsider. Our sober transport closes that gap: a trained companion travels with your loved one from Houston to the program door, whether that is across the metro or across state lines, keeping them safe and steady the entire way. In a city where a run to the airport can take ninety minutes, that companion is often exactly what keeps a fragile decision intact.
It is also one of the most protective things a family can arrange, because it takes the hardest hours off your shoulders at the moment you have the least left to give.
If your loved one is in immediate danger, is threatening suicide, or has overdosed, this is not the moment for an intervention. Call 911. You can also call or text 988 at any hour to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. An intervention is for the situation that is serious but not an emergency. If you are unsure which one you are in, call us and we will help you tell the difference, and we will never talk you out of seeking medical help first when that is what the moment calls for.

Common questions
Houston, Texas families ask us this first.
Do you travel to Houston, or is it all virtual?
Can you help with a mental health crisis, not just addiction?
How fast can you help a Houston family?
What does a Houston intervention cost?
We quote a flat fee before you commit to anything, and it covers the work rather than the hour: the intake call, coaching sessions with your family, building the plan, leading the intervention itself, and the handoff into treatment. Travel is quoted separately and openly so there are no surprises. We take no referral fees from any treatment center, so nothing we recommend is being paid for by someone else. If sober transport is needed, we price that up front too, and you can decide once you have seen the number.
What if my loved one says no?
It happens, and it is not the end of the process. Most people who refuse in the room are refusing the pressure, not the help, and a well run intervention leaves the door open instead of slamming it. We help your family agree in advance on what changes if the answer is no: what you will stop covering, what stays in place, and how you will respond the next time things escalate. Plenty of families get a yes days or weeks later, because the conversation stayed honest and the offer stayed on the table.
Will insurance pay for treatment in Houston?
Often, at least in part. Most commercial plans cover medical detox and residential or outpatient treatment when it is medically necessary, but the answer depends on your plan, the level of care, and whether a facility is in network. Part of our job is calling on your behalf, asking the questions families do not know to ask, and telling you plainly what a program will cost you. Because we accept no referral fees, we have no reason to steer you toward a more expensive bed than your loved one actually needs.
