Major Maryland metros we reach

Between Baltimore and DC you can find a hundred programs in an afternoon and still have no idea which one is honest. Everything looks credible online. Guidance nobody paid for is what actually narrows the field.

We plan the intervention, vet programs near home and out of state on clinical fit alone, and stay with your family through admission, with no referral fees from anyone.

We also serve the Eastern Shore, Southern Maryland, and the mountain counties out past Cumberland, where good options thin out fast. G3 travels to you anywhere in Maryland and can start the planning virtually the day you call.

What happens when you call

From your first call to the first day of treatment.

Step 01

One confidential call

You tell us what is happening. No script and no pressure. We listen for the details that change the plan: the substances, the history, the risk, and who is actually in the family.

Step 02

We build the plan around you

We choose the model that fits, decide who should be in the room, and confirm a treatment bed that matches the clinical need and the budget — in Baltimore, elsewhere in Maryland, or out of state if that is genuinely better.

Step 03

We coach everyone first

Nobody walks in cold. Each person rehearses what they will say, and we plan for the pushback so a hard moment does not derail the room.

Step 04

The day, and the road after

Matt leads the conversation and keeps the tone steady. When the answer is yes, travel is already arranged and our transport team goes with them.

Too many options, not enough honesty

In a market this crowded, the volume of advertising works against families. When a household is frightened, the programs with the biggest budgets get seen first, and that visibility has nothing to do with clinical quality. Families can spend a fortune on a glossy facility that is wrong for their loved one in every way that counts.

Our independence cuts through that. Because no facility pays us, we have no reason to steer you anywhere in particular. We tell you what your loved one actually needs and which nearby programs match. Our explainer on independent treatment navigation describes exactly how that works.

How a G3 intervention works

We begin with a confidential planning call to learn the history, the substances, the relationships, and the risks. Then we design the meeting and choose an approach, usually an invitational, family-systems model that keeps the door open and treats your loved one as a person worth reaching.

We coach each participant beforehand, and on the day Matt leads the room, holds the emotional temperature steady, and moves the group toward one clear decision. Because the bed and travel are confirmed before we begin, a yes turns into action right away. Our guide to choosing an intervention model explains the approach in plain terms.

Family-led, nationwide

You will reach Matt or Hannah, not a call center.

Wherever you are in Maryland, one confidential call starts it. We assess your situation and tell you honestly what the right next step is — even when that answer is not us.

Maryland’s density means strong programs are often close by, which is an advantage. Sometimes, though, the right clinical fit points elsewhere, and a family has to weigh staying local against traveling for the best match. We help you make that call honestly, based on your loved one’s needs rather than convenience alone. When travel is the answer, a trained escort stays with your loved one from your door to the admission desk.

Our primer on levels of care helps you understand what detox, residential, PHP, and IOP each involve, so the choice is informed.

Care close to home or across the country

Crisis, safety, and the law in Maryland

An intervention is a planned event and not an emergency service. If your loved one has overdosed, is threatening suicide, or is in immediate danger, call 911. For emotional crisis or suicide risk, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, free and available every hour of every day. SAMHSA’s national helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357), offers confidential treatment referrals around the clock.

Families sometimes ask about court-ordered treatment. Maryland has its own statutes governing involuntary commitment, and the specifics matter and change, so confirm the current process with a local attorney or your county court. Our overview of involuntary commitment explains the general landscape and its limits.

The family recovery track after the yes

Once your loved one is in care, the family’s work begins in earnest. The habits that grew up around the addiction do not dissolve on their own, and if they go unexamined they can quietly pull a person back into old patterns after discharge. We help Maryland families use the treatment window to change how the household functions, not just wait for a phone call.

Recovery coaching can extend that support well past the program itself, giving your loved one a steady point of contact and giving you a way to stay involved without slipping back into rescuing. Our overview of recovery coaching explains how it fits into a plan that lasts.

Common questions

Maryland families ask us this first.

With so many programs nearby, why do we need a navigator?
Because most families cannot tell honest quality from good marketing, and the stakes are too high to guess. We are independent and paid only by you, so we can point you to the right clinical fit rather than the loudest advertiser.
Do you serve the DC suburbs and Annapolis area?
Yes. We work across Maryland, including Silver Spring, Rockville, Germantown, Waldorf, and Annapolis, along with Baltimore, Columbia, and Frederick. We meet families in person or virtually.
Do you recommend only local Maryland programs?
Not necessarily. Maryland has strong options, and when one fits we recommend it. When the best clinical match is elsewhere, we say so and arrange escorted travel. Our advice follows your loved one’s needs, not geography or a commission.
How much does an intervention cost?

We quote a flat professional fee before you commit to anything. It covers the planning calls, the rehearsal with your family, the intervention itself, and the treatment navigation and admission handoff that follow. Travel expenses are billed separately at actual cost and estimated up front. The program bills you directly for treatment, and we help you read that estimate before you sign it. Because we accept no referral fees, our fee is the only money we make and it does not change based on which facility your family chooses.

Our family is spread across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Does that matter?

It matters logistically, not legally, and we plan around it constantly in this corridor. We run the preparation by video so a sibling in Arlington and a parent in Towson rehearse together, then decide who needs to be physically in the room and who is better placed on speakerphone. Where a person lives can affect insurance networks and any legal question, so we confirm benefits against the actual home address. What cannot be split is the message. Everyone has to say the same thing, whatever state they drove in from.

Can we get an emergency evaluation ordered in Maryland?

Maryland has an emergency evaluation petition process and its own civil commitment standard, generally tied to a mental disorder and danger, and substance use alone often does not satisfy it. The specifics change and outcomes vary by county, so ask a Maryland attorney rather than relying on anything general. Most families find the intervention is the faster route. A planned conversation with a bed already held moves in days, not filings. If there is immediate danger right now, call 911, or reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

The next step is a conversation

You do not have to figure this out alone.

One confidential call with G3 begins it. No pressure, no judgment, just a path forward.
